Family owned for over 20 years, I love seeing the owner, in her 70s, always manning the cashier. She’s one of the hardest working women I know and makes killer dishes like this Canh Bun soup. Competition can’t even come close…

Canh Bun is quite similar to BunRieu, a Northern Vietnamese rice noodle soup with a tomato base but comes served with thicker rice noodles. The broth is made up from pork, shrimp, and crab and usually accompanied by fried tofu, shrimp paste, and steamed water spinach.
