And these days, it seems poised not just for increased market share, but also for wider acceptance and admiration: Bottlings from Japan are finding their way into bar programs all over the country and at all price points. And just recently, the Yamazaki Single Malt Sherry Cask 2013, from powerhouse Suntory, was crowned top whisky on the planet in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2015.
