A relatively young distillery, Tommyrotter Distillery was founded in 2015 by Bobby Finan and Sean Insalaco. Tommyrotter hand fills and labels every single bottle resulting in consistent batches that push the boundaries of spirit categories and challenges consumers to ponder the difference between good and great.
In anticipation of opening their doors, Tommyrotter’s founders purchased bourbon whiskey and finished the bourbon for less than six months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels at full cask strength. Napa Valley Heritage Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a limited release bourbon whiskey, with a one time production of only 416 cases. Dried cherries and rye spice encompass the body, with sweet caramel and a light smokiness surrounding the finish. Tommyrotter’s Triple Barrel American Whiskey is also finished in wine barrels, and contains two different Kentucky bourbons and one Tennessee whiskey, making it a uniquely American experience. It is also aged in three different barrels: two types of white American oak barrels and a red wine French oak barrel. It tastes of subtle cherry and honey, with vanilla caramel and oak spice coming through on the finish.
