Maybe you’re a brown spirits person, maybe you’re not. Either way, you will likely fall in love with Balcones Bourbon once you mix up these amazing cocktails sent to Drink Me Magazine straight from the distillery.
Blackberry Bourbon Smash
- Muddle 4 Blackberries, 3 Lemon Wedges and .5 oz Rich Demerara
- Add 1.5 oz Texas Pot Still Bourbon and Ice
- Shake and double-strain into ice-filled Highball glass
- Top off with Topo Chico or other sparkling water
- Garnish with Lemon peel or wedge
Bourbon Rickey
- Squeeze ½ lime into a Highball glass
- Add 1 bar spoon of Rich Demerara
- Add 2 oz Texas Pot Still Bourbon
- Stir, place used lime half in bottom of glass
- Add ice to top of glass
- Top off with Topo Chico or other sparkling water
- Garnish with Lime wheel
Sneaky Pete
- Using a rocks glass with one large king cube or several small ice cubes build the following in short order:
- 2 oz Texas Pot Still Bourbon
- 1 oz Coffee Liqueur or Coffee Syrup
- Fill to just below the rim with half and half
- Stir and garnish with mint sprig
Texas Gold Rush
- In a shaker tin, muddle ½ oz honey and 3 lemon wedges
- Add 1.5 oz Texas Pot Still Bourbon and ice
- Shake and strain into a rocks glass with one King Cube or several smaller cubes
- Garnish with lemon peel or wedge
Texas Irish Coffee
- In warm glass mug add the following in short order
- 2 dash Angostura Bitters
- ½ oz Rich Demerara
- 1.5 oz Texas Pot Still Bourbon
- 3-4 oz of Hot Coffee
- Stir
- Top with Whipped Heavy Cream
