Throughout life we discover that there are very few things that are more important than family. The Seghesio family is no different and they not only cherish the present and past generations, they have created a lifelong career. Seghesio Family Vineyards has been part of the history and fabric of Sonoma County since 1895 and through the century it has become a testament to the will of a man, his wife, their family and their endless determination to persevere. It all started when Italian immigrant and winemaker Edoardo Seghesio planted his first Zinfandel vineyard in the location which is now Seghesio’s Home Ranch Vineyard in Alexander Valley.
Their dedication the art shines through five generations during which the stewardship of the land and craftsmanship of the wine has paid tribute to those who came before the present generation. Fourth-generation winemaker Ted Seghesio leads the winemaking team down a path that was forged by founder Edoardo. Adamant on crafting wines by hand, Ted captures the essence of each variety and vineyard.
