Perfumed and classic varietal aromas of rose petal, lychee and spice create a wine with a palate that has similar flavors, delivered with lovely richness, seamless texture and balance. The Private Bin Gewürztraminer was blended from fruit sourced from premium winegrowing regions in Gisborne and Auckland. There is a strong emphasis on ensuring optimum crop levels per wine with sufficient bunch exposure to achieve full flavor ripeness.

For this wine each vineyard was harvested separately with fruit destemmed and crushed into the press and to aid flavor extraction, the skins and free-run juice were held for a skin contact period of two to four hours prior to being pressed. The management techniques are employed to produce flavorsome, ripe and clean fruit at harvest time. The 2016 vintage for the East Coast was warm and for the most part dry with fruit harvested in excellent condition and proving to be a highlight and is good right now and for the next two years. Enjoy a glass with oriental and spicy meals.
