One started with a picture in The Guardian. The picture was of a Kiberan girl sitting next to a water tap that had been padlocked in Nairobi, Kenya. After seeing the photograph Duncan Goose used his career in advertising to launch the ethical bottled water brand, One Water. The bottled water sold in the U.K. has funded provisions to bring clean water to the world’s poorest communities.

One launched One Gin in 2017 on World Water Day. Each bottle is hand-crafted in small batches by master distiller, Sarah Thompson, at Blackdown Distillery in Sussex. One Gin uses ten unique botanicals from around the globe, including sage that was foraged from around the distillery which gives the gin a refreshing twist. One Gin is distilled in alembic copper still and filtered seven times which makes it uniquely smooth.

One has raised nearly £15 million for water projects. By expanding their horizons and adding One Gin to the drinks portfolio, One hopes to raise £20 million by 2020 and change the lives of over 5 million people.
