It’s not that often you get to see still constructed, nevermind in the same day. Today we have a little treat as Bowman Distillery have opened their doors and caught what few people see live on camera. Gaze in wonder.
Smith Bowman Distillery just welcomed home a brand new still, adding another beauty to the collection. In true tradition they decided to name it George, after the father of the pioneering Bowman brothers who helped pave the way for what we see today as Bowman Distillery.
George, who is otherwise known as still number 1965, found his place next to Mary, the existing whiskey still, on Thursday as the installation process began and finished all on the same day.
Mary found her way into the Bowman family many years ago and was named after Mary Hite Bowman, George Wife and the mother of the Bowman.
