The history of bourbon is the history of Elijah Craig. In the 1800’s, Reverend Elijah Craig was a Baptist preacher and active character in Kentucky. He was known for being an educator, road builder, and land speculator, but he was best known for being a gifted distiller and entrepreneur that established his place in history as The Father Of The Bourbon. Elijah was the first distiller to age his whiskey in charred oak barrels. Today, Heaven Hill Distillery preserves the Bourbon making traditions developed by Elijah while using the same methods from over two hundred years ago.

Long before the term Small Batch ever existed, master distillers were hand-selecting the perfect amount of barrels to make Elijah Craig. With the right balance of rich flavor and full body, Elijah Craig Small Batch was created using expertise and attention to deal. Each small batch carries warm and woody accents of spice, smoke, and nutmeg with notes of vanilla, sweet fruit, and fresh mint, ending with a long, sweet finish. This is the perfect drink to add to any Bourbon fan’s collection.
