Not only does East London Liquor Company create award winning liquors, it is also a fantastic bar and restaurant. Brick walls climb high to the tall ceiling with reclaimed wooden tables saved from the original factory. Behind the bar towers a giant glass wall that houses the distilleries beautiful copper stills where the bar’s incredible spirits are crafted for their innovative cocktail menu. World-renowned British designer, Michael Sodeau, envisioned the restaurant next door with an emphasis on pizza and small plates that pair wonderfully with spirits and cocktails. It is East London Liquor Company’s herbaceous, savoury gin; Batch No.2, that creates some of their most impressive drinks. Infused with English herbs such as fennel, sage and bay leaf, when added to Campari and Cocchi Di Torino Sweet Vermouth it makes their delicious and perfectly balanced Negroni. However, if you prefer a slightly sweeter tipple, Batch No.2’s delicate floral notes come out delightfully in their delicately sweet Basiq Beach cocktail. You can only get it at the East London Liquor Company’s bar tucked away in a laid-back corner of London’s East End.
