Pierre Lurton returned home to his personal estate, Château Marjosse in the Entre-Deux- Mers, after lending and wielding his talents to renowned Châteaux Cheval Blanc and d’Yquem. At Marjosse, Lurton has produced both red and white wine since 1990. He was originally drawn to the site by the natural charm of the terroir, the health of the soil, and the presence of old vines. All fields are carefully controlled and multiple techniques are used to optimize harvesting to ensure the berries reach proper ripeness. From there, the fruits are again meticulously handled and processed into the glorious Château Marjosse wines we have today.
A refreshing burst of lemon and grapefruit hit the palate from the get-go. Lemon rind collides with a tart sweetness to add balance to this equation, a fresh, lively and energetic gem, perfect for those warmer Spring days that are soon to approach.
