At 9,600 ft. above sea level in the energetic ski town, Breckenridge Distillery, the world’s highest of all distilleries makes some of the finest and cleanest spirits in all of the country. Tucked away between peaks of the Continental Divide hovering over 14,000 feet, Breckenridge’s main water supply dribbles down the superior slopes as the snow begins to thaw into liquid and begins filtering through dolomite, limestone, and quartz. The quality of the source produces mineral-rich water that creates a clean and soothing mouth full of pure bliss.

When it comes to bourbon, Breckenridge makes the best of the best. The barrels of bourbon whiskey are carefully selected from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana. Breckenridge Bourbon is made from a high-rye mash bill mixed with the snowmelt of the Rocky Mountains into an open-top Scottish fermenter and distilled using a Vendome copper pot still. This bourbon has notes of honey-amber, aromas of under ripe banana and brown sugar, a spicy white pepper taste on the tongue, and a sweet vanilla finish with a kick of bitterness. This may be the perfect way to end a day on the slopes by a relaxing hot fire. Can you taste the Rocky’s yet?
