The Napa Valley Wine Train is running its second annual installation of the Tequila Train and continued partnership with Tequila Casa Dragones, kicking off on Cinco de Mayo. In addition, the Tequila Train will run for one more special event to celebrate National Tequila Day on Wednesday, July 24. The collaboration with Casa Dragones continues to solidify the tequila producer as a go-to of the culinary industry aboard wine country’s most iconic train.
Slated to begin with the celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the Tequila Train will be re-launching for its second consecutive year on Sunday, May 5 in partnership with Casa Dragones, a luxury, independent small batch producer with a passion for creating exceptional sipping tequilas. The festive, two-hour train journey will begin with a welcome Casa Dragones signature cocktail upon embarking, followed by an array of traditional Mexican appetizers by the wine train’s Executive Chef Donald Young, including Orange Mojo Spike Red Snapper Fish Tacos and Tres Leches.
While onboard, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the captivating history and intricate craft behind the world’s number one sipping tequila, as told by the Casa Dragones team itself, and will receive the opportunity to opt-in for a special pour of Casa Dragones’ highest end Joven Tequila for $30 per person. To conclude the journey, guests are invited to enjoy a celebratory Casa Dragones Blanco shot, all to the beat of lively Latin tunes.
“We’re thrilled to offer this extraordinary journey for two consecutive years and continue a fruitful partnership with our unique tequila partner,” said Scott Goldie, Co-CEO, Napa Valley Wine Train. “We’re excited to add a more interactive feature to this celebratory journey and hope to have the local community and visitors from all over embark on a journey that marries Napa’s love of food and exquisite tastings.”
