The journey for Chateau Beaumont has been a long one, but its vineyards have remained true since 1824. The splendid Renaissance style castle wasn’t even built until thirty years after the fact. The property bounced around from one famous owner to the next hoisting Beaumont to the forefront of the “Crus Bourgeois Superieurs”. With the arrival of current manager Etienne Priou and guiding voice of Philippe Blanc of Chateau Beychevelle, Chateau Beaumont has seen a qualitative turn-around since 1986 and continues to ensure its core values of its appellation and classification.
Tasting Notes: Fresh ripe meadow berries caress your tongue as gentle tannins and a slight acidity create the perfect balance. Showcasing a true Haut-Médoc style in the utmost elegance for an incredible good price.
Food Pairing: Given its gentle tannins yet fresh structure, this Haut-Médoc dream will sit perfectly alongside steak, chicken, lamb and works wonders when paired with harder cheeses. If elegant dining isn’t on the cards for the night, you’re in luck – this is the perfect accompaniment to a variety of barbecued dishes as well as that staple mid-week pizza (bonus points for pepperoni).
