The South First Area (SoFA) of San Jose, known as the South Bay’s arts and entertainment district, is getting a fresh new look in the culinary department. There are, as always, several new eateries, lounges and clubs popping up, but SoFA Market is the happening hub where it all comes together –the perfect place to start a night out.
Much like San Pedro Square Market on the other side of town, SoFA Market celebrates eclectic Silicon Valley Street Food. A coffee bar (Vero’s Coffee Bar), burger bar (On The Flip Side) and craft beer bar (The Fountainhead) already occupy this cozy space complete with communal seating and room for live, local music.
Construction for even more fun food fare, including Japanese tapas and an ice cream shop, is underway. And according to the SoFA Market Facebook page, they are still on the hunt for a final few up-and-coming vendors to join the party.
So whether a foodie by profession or just plain hungry, you’re going to want to check out this groundbreaking scene in downtown San Jose.
