Born out of one family’s love for wine, viticulture, and the great area of Northern California, The Ehret Family Winery is committed to embracing the Sonoma County region and producing some of the finest fruit around. Since 2005, the Ehret family—Pierre, Susan, and their children Alexander, Christian, and Isabella—has been yielding premium wines for the public’s taste buds out of their Ranch on the Bavarion Lion vineyards in Knights County. The vineyard gets its structure and balance from the long, sun filled days and cool evenings. The unique microclimate and calcareous loam and clay soils are attributed to the vineyards specific positioning at the base of Mount Saint Helena. The composition is best suited for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux Grape varieties.
Back in 2010, the growing season proved to be long and mild in temperature with an August heat wave accelerating the ripening of the grapes. The resulting fruit was concentrated and the best specimens where plucked and put aside for the 2010 Hillside Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted with a blend of the best vintages from a select portion of the Ehret Family’s vineyard’s hillsides. This spectacular wine embraces notes of deep black cherry, blackberry, sweet spice, mocha, black tea, and hickory smoke impressions. The Ehret Family also has many other delicious creations ready for sipping.
