Fun fact: Philadelphia has got a lot more love to offer than the brotherly kind. While everyone can recognize the LOVE sign in Center City and plenty more would jump at taking a date on a trek up the “Rocky Steps” at the Art Museum, there is so much more to showing a significant other around Philly than taking photos in famous places. Whether you are trying to impress a new flame or rekindle an old one, Philadelphia has romance for miles. Here are some of the best places to visit before or after you head out in the evening for those cocktails or that bottle of wine. Oh you romantic, you!
Water Works Restaurant and Lounge
If the Philadelphia Museum of Art is still on your to do list, be sure to polish off the night with dinner at Water Works. Grab a spot on the deck for a superb view of the iconic Boathouse Row and consider a stroll along the Schuylkill (SKOO-kull) River. Both the bar menu and the dinner menu have fantastic food options, but don’t forget to ask for the wine list – Pino Grigio heaven awaits you.

Reading Terminal Market
If you’re in the mood for something a little more laid-back or a “day date”, RTM is not to be overlooked. Either plan your route through the market or allow yourselves to wander! Blue Mountain Vineyards has a stall where you can sample some of Lehigh Valley’s local wines (I cannot emphasize this enough – try the Sangria) and the food stalls throughout the market have something for everyone.

12th and Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA

Monday – Saturday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
