As the hot summer days transition into the chilly weather of fall, our tastes for a different kind of drink transitions as well. As the cold autumn wind blows, we begin to crave warm drinks that help our body beat the chill. We have found a list of some drinks that will definitely keep you in warm “spirits’!

Apple Pie a La Mode

Not everyone is pumpkin obsessed this fall season. Some prefer a little more sweetness in their drink. All you need is chilled apple cider, a shot of your favorite vanilla vodka and a dash of cinnamon to make this delicious liquid version of apple pie!

2 ounces of apple cider
1 shot of vanilla vodka
1 tsp. of cinnamon

Add all ingredients to shaker with ice cubes
Shake well
Serve in Martini glass

Hot Toddies

Tart. Sweet. Simple. These three words come to mind when having a hot toddy on a cold weather day. All you’ll need is brandy, lemon, and honey. This perfect spiked lemon drink will be sure to heat you right up!

½ cup of brandy
½ cup of lemon
½ cup of honey
Add to boiling water and enjoy!

Cinnamon Whiskey Sour

If the flavours in this drink don’t get you heated, the whiskey definitely will. Bourbon, simple syrup, lemon juice, cinnamon, and a maraschino cherry all bring this timeless drink to life. This spicy, tart and warming cocktail is perfect all year long.

1-½ ounces of whiskey
1 ounce of lemon juice
2 tbsp. of simple syrup
1 pinch of ground cinnamon
1 marchiano cherry

Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar with two-thirds full of ice
Pour in all ingredients
Strain whiskey sour into glass and add ice and cherry at the end

Pumpkin Pie Martini

All you need is one part pumpkin schnapps and two parts of vanilla martini. Add a splash of cream and a pinch of nutmeg cinnamon. Mix in shaker with ice, and then strain into martini glass. This is the perfect drink for any of our pumpkin lovers. The alcohol included makes it even better!

1 fluid ounce heavy whipping cream (or for a little lighter you can use half and half)
1 fluid ounce spiced rum (Captain Morgans is great)
1⁄2 fluid ounce pumpkin spice syrup
Dash of cinnamon
1 tbsp. of whipped whipping cream

Fill your martini shaker with crushed ice and use a chilled martini glass.
Put all ingredients in shaker and shake for a minute or so.
Pour into glass. Grind a little nutmeg on top.
You can also rim the glass with cinnamon sugar and put in a cinnamon stick.

Moscow Mule

The cocktail has nothing to do with a mule, but after a few sips of vodka, spicy ginger beer, and lemon no one will care. Garnished with a slice of lime and served in a fancy copper mug. This cocktail is sure to make anyone feel special.

1 1/2 fluid ounces vodka
1/2 fluid ounce lime juice
ice cubes
1/2 cup ginger beer
1 lime wedge for garnish

Pour vodka, lime juice and ice into a glass
Add ginger beer
Stir with spoon
Top with a lime wedge
