Spell Estate was established in 2007. Bill and Tiki Spell are passionate wine collectors with a particular interest in Pinot Noir. Pinot is one of the most finicky grapes which poses a challenge but produces excellent wines. The fruit-forward style of California Pinot Noir brought the Spell’s to the west coast. Here they are committed to producing high quality Pinot Noir that showcases the nuances of each individual vineyard they partner with.
Spell 2013 Alder Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir is violet in color and offers a vivid and inviting nose. Breath in aromas of ripe blueberry, raspberry, peat, smoke, ground coffee, and even a slight hint of rose petals. The palate is incredibly balanced with flavors of ripe red fruit, juniper berry, espresso, powdery-dry tannins, and a lively acidity.
