Ophelia, the rooftop lounge in Midtown East atop the Beekman Tower will be hosting a charitable event this Labor Day promoting women’s equal pay and gender equality in the workplace. On Monday September 2nd from 5:30pm-7pm, prominent female bartender, Eryn Reece, Speedrack National Champion and Dames Hall of Fame inductee by Tales of the Cocktail, will be mixing up signature summer cocktails, and during this time frame, 100% of the proceeds from cocktail sales will be donated to the National Women’s Law Center, an organization that works to defend and fight for the rights of working women and low-income women, from pay issues to sexual harassment. Ophelia, a hangout for working women in the 1920’s and recently renovated by Public Agenda, a female co-founded development firm, has stayed true to its girl-power origins, and will continue to do so through its support of female focused charities.
