Opened in spring of 2014, Hotel G is a stylish respite from the bustle of nearby Union Square. The minimal interior is awash in natural woods and muted tones (the hotel aptly refers to its walls as “fog-colored”). The G retains many features from the original 1909 building, like a cool cast iron staircase as well as wood and concrete flooring in rooms and hallways. Downstairs, the spiffy Klyde Café stays open everyday until midnight with classic American dishes and a strong vino selection, including 15 wines by the glass. A second restaurant and bar is expected in late 2014/early 2015.
From $229/night
