For those unfamiliar with the history of American whiskey, this bottle wasn’t distilled near a geyser in the national park.
It comes from the bourbon country of Kentucky. Lebanon, to be exact. This is where Limestone Branch Distillery was founded in 2010 on the aim to revive the Yellowstone brand, which dates back to pre-Prohibition years.
Yellowstone Select honors the heritage of the brand with a sweet and smoky 93 proof bourbon. This bourbon has a nose of dried fruit, oak and a touch of citrus. Tasting notes include spicy rye, dried cherries and smoky caramel followed by a brown sugar finish. And did I mention the distiller has more than 200 years of bourbon history in his blood? You can’t go wrong with this bourbon.
