The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD) has created Physic Gin. Created especially in honor of the University of Oxford’s Botanical Garden, this gin celebrates the historical importance of the institution and the Botanical Gardens that has lead the way to a plethora of herbal medicinal discoveries. TOAD is the only company with granted access to review the herbs planted at the gardens that have been documented since 1640.
Designated with earthy inspiration, Physic Gin has been created to mimic medicinal properties. The gin is hand distilled with grain grown in crop rotated landed that is scientifically proven to be the most sustainable way to preserve the nutrients in the soil. Produced through sustainable efforts, Oxford has personally backed TOAD, not just as Oxford’s first ever-based distillery, but also as an integral reflection of the college’s long history of botanical and medical advancements.
