François Delamotte, an influential character in Reims society founded Champagne Lanson in 1760. Remaining as one of the oldest holders of the Royal Warrant, Lanson has been making some of the world’s finest champagne for over 200 years. Located in Reims, France in the capital of the champagne wine-growing region, this family operated House is the only vineyard left in the city of Clos de Lanson. Underneath the house in limestone cellars lies a library of rare vintage Champagne Lanson. For years they have passed down secrets of their special craft from one generation to the next. Lanson’s ex- chef du cave, Jean Paul Gandon has been chief winemaker for 40 loyal years, producing every single one of the champagnes under the Lanson name.
The Lanson family has offered a range of champagnes to suit different tastes, including a unique style that can’t be found anywhere else. Made with Chardonnay grapes from the champagne’s finest vineyard. The sweet aromas of white blossom, honey, citrus, and fruity flavors of summer pears and yellow peaches leave you with a refreshing, cool taste on your tongue. Winston Churchill once said “Its not just France we are fighting for, its Champagne!”
