The story behind San Antonio Winery’s Maddalena Wines is a love story. They are produced in honor of the winery’s matriarch, 94-year-old Maddalena Riboli. When founder Stefano Riboli first laid eyes on Maddalena over 70 years ago, he fell instantly in love. After they married, Maddalena’s influence on the family winery made a lasting impression. She helped the family to expand their vineyard property and begin the production of new wines.
Maddalena’s wines were the first single varietal wines for the California winery, which today produces everything from Chardonnay from Monterey to Zifandel from Paso Robles. Maddalena Wines are made from the highest quality grapes in the family’s vineyards in Monterey and Paso Robles. They are made to reflect the love and dedication that Maddalena never failed to devote to her winemaking. Lift a glass and toast to a 70-year love story and the strong woman who inspired it all.
