We’ve just finished recovering from a trip to New Orleans for the craziest and most prominent cocktail festival in the world.  For one week, all the top bartenders, bar owners, liquor brands, bloggers, and icons in today’s spirit and cocktail world convene upon the French Quarter – the Monteleone Hotel is ground zero. This year, the party kicked off with several huge and extravagant parties – one set up by Beefeater in one of the local Museums (which we loved was themed Alice in Wonderland – with little bottles all over that said “Drink Me”!) full on with mulitple levels of DJ’s, food, and barteders mixing up Beefeater Cocktails.  The night continued in a southern Mansion – with cold drinks (on one of the hotest nights I remember) from the good people over at William Grant and Sons.  That’s the company that just purchased “Root,” one of my favorite new liqueurs [...]
