Golden Road’s Better Weather Fest

If you’re a beer-lover in or around the greater Los Angeles area this weekend, Golden Road Brewing (5410 W. San Fernando Road) is the place to be.On the afternoon of Saturday, the 22nd, they will be hosting the first ever Better Weather Fest–a suds-soaked event featuring the finest flavors from Southern California’s favorite microbreweries. In fact, there will also be offerings from breweries as distant as Maui, and Colorado–nearly two dozen craft producers in total.

In addition to all of these special guests, Golden Road will be releasing the newest batch of their very own Burning Bush Smoked IPA, as well as celebrating a new brewery expansion. Commemorating the brewery’s first year in existence, the event will offer tours of the new facility, providing a great opportunity to marvel at how far they’ve come in such a short time.

There was an unfortunate era–not so long ago–when the craft brewing scene in Los Angeles County had nothing on its neighbors to the north and south. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Golden Road and breweries like Eagle Rock, Lady Face, TAPS, Strand, the California craft landscape has forever changed. And with the Better Weather Fest, you’re blessed with an all-access pass to try all of these pioneering beers under one roof. It’s a great way to kick-off the action-packed liquid adventures that await during LA Beer Week, which continues until the 30th of September.

Multiple food trucks and live music will also mark the occasion, rounding out an unforgettable day of Fall frivolity. So raise your glasses in the air and toast to the memories of seasons past.

Tickets can be purchased here for $30 until this evening. At the door it will cost $40, a price that includes a commemorative glass and up to 5 pours. Additional pours will be available on-site for $3 extra.
