On Saturday, June 16th, another sunny morning in Southern California will be the setting for the first ever B3 Charity Ride. Benefiting the Pablove Foundation, which fights childhood cancer, the event will consist of a three stop, 16.8 mile bike ride through Los Angeles.
The excitement begins in Burbank at 9AM in the cozy confines of Tony’s Darts Away (1710 West Magnolia Boulevard), a fun, Vegan-friendly bar featuring a great beer selection and—not surprisingly—their very own dart board. Biscuits and Gravy will be served in order to help bikers load up on carbohydrates before heading off to Glendale—home of Golden Road Brewing Company. There you’ll find $1 pints for the intrepid biker who will no doubt be in need of a cool down before heading up the hill and into Echo Park for the final leg, concluding at Mohawk Bend (2141 W Sunset Boulevard).
Finish off an enjoyable morning with some brunch and drink specials at one of my favorite beer bars in all of LA. They feature roughly 50 craft brews on tap, all geared towards the West Coast penchant for heavy hops. Here you’ll find exclusive hard-to-find favorites like Lost Abbey’s Lost & Found Belgian Dubbel, or Stone Brewing’s Sublimely Self Righteous Black IPA. What an incredible way to kick back and relax after raising money for such a great cause. Oh, and you’ll also burn off a few calories while you’re at it. Although this ride isn’t technically a race, it sure seems like a win-win for everyone involved.
You can register for only $25 (which includes a free t-shirt!) by clicking here. The greatest prize of all—free beer—will be awarded to those that raise the most amount of money for the Pablove Foundation.
