The Fifth Floor Restaurant is already famous for its beverages, thanks to their revered Sommellier Emily Wines and Master Barman Jacques Bezuidenhout. Emily Wines, among other prodigious accomplishments, is one of only two women in sommelier history to earn the coveted Remi Krug Cup for passing all three master sommelier certification exams on her first attempt.

Jacques Bezuidenhout was not only voted Best Bartender in San Francisco by Anthony Dias Blue, but is also a judge in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition every year (stay tuned for behind the scenes article in our issue 7). One might wonder how the Fifth Floor could add any more weapons to their alcoholic arsenal. The answer? A rotating cocktail cart. That’s right, they bring the bar, complete with bartender, to you. The menu includes classic cocktails prepared table-side at your request. And since normal ice cubes are so passe, they have a fancy machine which makes normal ice cubes into more thermodynamically efficient and aesthetically pleasing spheres. If you’ve ever wished you could swap out barfood for fine dining, the Fifth Floor might bring that right to you.
